The Good Days
If it were any other time, by now I would have completed my vision board, a new long list of goals and reorganized my life to hopefully tackle everything by the end of the year.
2020 confirmed a lot and finding the beauty in the ‘now’ was deeply ingrained in my consciousness, more than ever before.
Our lives, as we knew it, felt like it changed overnight. Moments that were often overlooked, soon became precious memories that we can only dream of going back to right now.
Hugging a friend you haven’t seen in awhile without any second thought
Standing in a packed crowd watching your favorite artist perform
A clean breath of fresh air without the restriction of a mask on your face
I mean, I literally almost cried the first time I hugged someone other than my boyfriend. There were so many shifts that happened within a matter of months, and NOT A NAN NUTTA appeared on my list of goals which I’m sure was probably the same for the majority of you.
We made all these plans and then life happened, or halted, depending on how you look at it. Then we all got a masterclass in the art of CONTROL. Basically, we have none lol. Life is constantly changing and we do ourselves a disservice trying to do the opposite.
Will I eventually do my annual vision board? Probably. Do I still have goals I’m striving for? Absolutely. But I’m also being intentional about fully enjoying exactly where I am, at this very moment.
Here’s just a few of the “little moments” I captured on camera so I could:
Show my future children what the year 2020 looked like in photos
Look back at the times that played a role in the bigger picture
Until next time
Xo
What’s one precious moment you missed in 2020 that you will never overlook again?
