Scarf Release: So Called x ARTE
Time 🕰️ like many aspects of life, isn't so black and white.
Sure, we have deadlines, calendars and clocks to adhere to. But if you zoom 🔎 out a bit – perhaps even light years away, the same rules fail to apply.
Time morphs into this nonlinear concept where the past doesn’t just inform the future, it all appears to exist simultaneously.
From this vantage point, it opens up a door of infinite possibilities.
Embracing the notion of a spectrum or gray area isn’t our collective strong suit.
However, it sparked something within Amber and I for this collaboration.
Our design mood board tells a snippet of that story:
Taking notes from surrealist artist like Salvador Dali, who sought to transcend the constraints of linear time in his work, and leaning into the idea of duality in nature, our design concept, “Eternal Duality” was born🌱
The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dali
Amber explored the masculine side of nature with muted and earthy tones reminiscent of lush greenery from plants and trees.
While I incorporated vibrant colors and abstract patterns from flowers to represent the opposite.
The use of motion permeating both designs signifies fluidity and a reminder that multiple things, realties or perspectives can exist at the same time.
