I’m Taylor (@tayheart on IG + Twitter)

Toledo-native/LA-transplant, trying to create things I love + learn as much as I can during the process.

Growing up everyone thought I was going to be a fashion designer (for very valid reasons).

  • I started a purse business in the 3rd grade

  • I declared it to EVERYBODY

  • I turned my 10th birthday party into a fashion show👇🏾

That stayed with me for years until I did a three-week program in high school that helped me figure out I wasn’t REALLY about that sewing life. So I decided to study the business side of fashion in college.

But in the midst of my fashion dreams, I was always creating. Writing pages of short stories, recording and editing videos, painting masterpieces on my walls (s/o to my mama for letting me be a free-spirit) and any other crazy ideas that came to mind. Looking back now, I realized fashion wasn’t necessarily my only passion. My true passion was creating things or experiences that:

  1. Other people could enjoy 💃🏾

  2. Tell a story 📚

  3. Simply sparked my interest at the time 🤷🏾‍♀️

This self-realization has lead me to some pretty amazing opportunities that I’m proud of.

When I’m not working on other projects I like to turn my thoughts into words and use them for inspiration on my blog and concept shop, ARTE. I launched this brand to encourage finding the spark in the “little things.”☺️
